extremely loud and incredibly close

i wish i could say i adored this film as much as i absolutely adore the book…but i can’t. i enjoyed the film, but it lacked so much goodness from the book that it was almost an entirely different story. to be fair, my hopes and standards for this were very high. wonderful performances all around, though.
